About the soul care ministry

Get to know more about what makes us different.

People today are often overwhelmed.
They are looking for meaningful help and lasting change as they live out their faith while dealing with complex issues and everyday problems. The purpose of MPCC Soul Care is to provide practical tools and godly direction to God's people as they navigate the spiritual and emotional challenges of life

The centrality of Christ in psychological health.
Christ is the ultimate source of life and health. People cannot truly experience wholeness — psychologically or spiritually — without knowing Christ intimately and obeying Him unconditionally.

The authority of the Bible for guiding people.
The Bible is the only reliable source of knowledge for providing an authoritative and comprehensive framework for understanding people, their problems and the ways they change.

The importance of relationships in growth and healing.
Created in the image of God, people need relationships to grow and stay healthy. Helping people find or build honest and loving relationships is an essential part of the Soul Care Ministry.
The indispensable role of suffering in people's lives.
Suffering is an inescapable part of life. The focus of Soul Care is to help people understand, respond to, and use their suffering in ways that honor God and deepen their faith in Him.

The necessity of reflection for growing in Christ.
People cannot grow without a rich understanding of the forces within them that motivate and control them. Soul Care helps people uncover and attend to these often hidden or disguised governing forces within their troubled hearts.

The significance of character development.
The ultimate goal of Soul Care is to help people display the character of Christ in the midst of whatever problems or pain they are experiencing. What makes Soul Care distinctive is its emphasis on character development and the spiritual resources of faith, prayer and worship.
