What To Expect

Where should I park?
We have special guest parking in our main parking lot. Just follow the blue signs when you arrive. From there, you will see the main entrance under the large canopy. If you are coming from the west side of our campus from SR 37 on Fairview Road, there are two streets (Bluff Rd. and N. Paddock) to your right that will lead you to the main parking lot. Coming from the east, those streets will be on your left. Should those lots be full, we have additional parking
across the street at our Community Life Center and Student Ministries Center building.

Where do I go?
Once you enter the facility through our main entrance, you will come directly into the Commons. There you will encounter some of our Welcome Team members, who will be able to answer any of your questions. As part of your first-time visit, we invite you to also stop by Guest Connections, just outside of our Worship Center, where you'll find friendly people who want to meet you, answer questions, give you a gift, and show you around if you would like.
You might even want to grab a coffee or a baked good at our Connection Café.

Where do my children go?
Bibleopolis is our Children’s Ministry designed for infants through children in fourth grade where kids learn to “grow up like Jesus!” You will check your children in at the Bibleopolis Check-in Desk and we will print out a name badge for each child. Every child, guest, or regular attendee has a printed ID sticker. You as parents will have a matching ID sticker to pick up your children after the service. You will also receive a special code that is used discreetly by Bibleopolis staff in case a parent needs to be notified during the service.

Where do my middle and/or high school students go?
Students in 5th-8th grades have their own worship service that meets in the Student Ministries Center, located on the south side of Mount Pleasant Christian Church’s Community Life Center. This service is at the same time as one of our main worship service: Sunday 9-10:15am. Our high school students attend our regular worship services in the Worship Center on Saturday nights or Sunday mornings. Senior High students also meet on Sunday nights for Engage, a worship experience designed just for them, in the Student Ministries Center from 6-7:30pm.

What should I wear?
We invite you to wear what is comfortable for you. We do ask that you would simply be respectful to others in your choice of clothing with regard to modesty and not being distracting to anyone else’s worship experience.
We all want to focus on worship and the teaching of the Word rather than what we are wearing.

How early should I arrive?
If you have children, you will want to arrive in plenty of time to check your kids into Bibleopolis,
and then find a seat before the service begins. Rule of thumb, leave yourself about 20 minutes before the service start time if you have children. Otherwise, 10–15 minutes is probably adequate.

Am I expected to put money into the offering?
If you are our guest, we do not expect you to give. If you are making Mount Pleasant Christian Church
your church home, then we would invite you to be a part of changing the world for Christ one life, one family,
and one opportunity at a time. You can give by check or cash by putting your offering in a provided envelope and dropping it in one of our secure giving boxes at the exits, online by setting up an account through our website, or even by texting 317.973.1732. Each week, as part of the offering, we highlight our Change for a Dollar initiative where we commit to giving one dollar for everyone in attendance to a special need in our community.
We encourage everyone, even guests, to participate in Change for a Dollar.

What is an MPCC worship service like?
When you come to an MPCC worship service, you will experience a service that is totally focused on Jesus Christ.
We have communion every week because we believe remembering the sacrifice that Jesus made is central to our gathering. You will find our church is passionate about singing and participating in worship. Our music is contemporary, utilizing some of the latest worship songs and often inclusive of some of the hymns of the faith.
Our Lead Pastor, Sean Kelly, shares a clear and compelling message from the Bible that helps us
grow in our faith and understanding of God. We also celebrate when we have someone who
wants to be baptized during one of our services.
