Family Matters

September 24-26, 2021

Family Matters

Join us for a very special weekend intentionally designed for families and parenting! To conclude our September sermon series, we are hosting a Family Matters Weekend that will include a fun event for the whole family, a teaching time for parents navigating some of today's tough topics and a special message from Pastor Chris about how parents can be a blessing to their children. Check out the information below for details and don't forget to invite a friend, coworker, family member or even your one life to this exciting weekend.

Family Matters Friday: Friday, September 24: 5-8pm

We will kick the weekend off with a family fun event at the Community Life Center from 5-8pm. This event will resemble our traditional Fall Fun Fest, however, we are adding some great elements for the whole family. There will be a variety of food trucks on-site (at your own expense) with special, extensive seating arrangements under a pavilion tent. We will also have live music for your family to enjoy while you eat. There will be a zip line, games, inflatables, 9-square, gaga ball, photo booths and more to enjoy at no cost. Additionally, there will be police and fire trucks on site for your visit.

Not a parent or have kids that are grown? We'd love for you to still be part of this event through volunteering! There are a variety of ways you can serve - click the link below to get registered today!

Parenting Matters Saturday: Saturday, September 25: 12:30-3:30pm

On Saturday, we will offer an option we initially had planned for Spring 2020, a parent conference! We are excited to announce that Tom Shefchunas will be joining us as our main presenter for the day. Tom is the Executive Director of Youth Specialties and has served for many years in a variety of roles including multi-campus director, middle school pastor, teacher, and coach. Tom is an amazing leader who speaks to parents and leaders all over the country!

We have two unique sessions to offer. The first session will be geared to parents that want some help navigating technology today as it relates to their kids. The second session will be centered around circles of friendship and faith. You do not want to miss this opportunity!

Our Parenting Matters Saturday event will be $5 per person.
