There are times in life when God seems so near…so present.

Within the church, we often call these "mountaintop experiences”…moments when we are joyfully aware of God's beauty, presence, and power — moments when he seems so “real” and active in our lives.

Those moments often take place at a week of camp or a mission trip experience…sometimes a powerful worship service or Christian conference, and sometimes there are extreme examples — like revivals throughout the years or the 2022 “outpouring of the Spirit” at Asbury University.

These are moments that transform our faith as we experience spiritual highs and the feeling of extreme closeness to God.

But then we come home…

To dishes and errands and bills…to-do lists and jobs and laundry…to busyness and hurry. We come back home to regular life. And God suddenly seems so distant again.

We’re not having a spiritual mountaintop experience anymore…we are back to our stagnant faith…where a moment with God seems just out of our reach.

But what if we could experience the presence of God in our day-to-day life? What if we could feel the nearness of God as we washed the dishes? What if a joyful, holy, spiritual moment with God could happen at our kitchen tables?

What would that look like…and how could we ever get there?
Our speaker this year is Maria Brown, who encountered a strong experience with the presence of God after an Asbury Chapel service in 2023. She works at Asbury University as a ministry associate in the Spiritual Life office. She mentors and counsels students who want to know how to live out the presence of God in daily life. She is funny, full of wisdom, and has a beautiful relationship with the Lord. You will not want to miss her challenging message!

Join us on Saturday, March 8, as we explore what it looks like to experience the presence of God every day of our lives. It will be a day of great worship, wonderful teaching, break-out sessions, door prizes, fun goody bags, a donut wall, and lots of fun!
