The Old Is Gone
In Jesus, we leave our old life behind and place our trust fully in Him.
Baptism
Because of Jesus, we are raised to new life. Through faith in Him, the old is gone and a new life begins. Baptism is a celebration of the new story Jesus is writing.

A Step of Faith
Baptism is a public confession of putting one's trust and faith in Jesus Christ and surrendering your life to Him.
At Mount Pleasant, we practice baptism by immersion in water. We believe that Jesus modeled baptism, the New Testament church practiced baptism, and we are commanded to baptize others.
Baptism by immersion represents the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ. As we go beneath the water, we picture leaving our old life behind. As we are raised from the water, we celebrate the new life we have in Jesus.
