Why is Baptism Important?
Baptism is a public confession of putting one's trust and faith in Jesus Christ and surrendering your life to Him.
At Mount Pleasant, we practice baptism by immersion in water. We believe that Jesus modeled baptism, the New Testament church practiced baptism, and we are commanded to baptize others.
Baptism by immersion represents the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ. As we go beneath the water, we picture leaving our old life behind. As we are raised from the water, we celebrate the new life we have in Jesus.

How do I know my child is ready to be baptized?
As a parent, you know your child best and play an important role in their faith. Your child doesn't need to understand everything, but should have a basic idea of who Jesus is, why they need Him, and have a desire to follow Him.
When can I get baptized?
We are ready to host baptisms every week at every service across all our campuses. When you get baptized is your decision, based on when makes sense for you and the person who will baptize you.
