Foster Care and Adoption Ministry
The Foster Care and Adoption Ministry exists to fulfill the call on the church in Psalm 82:3, which says “Defend the cause of the weak and fatherless; maintain the rights of the poor and oppressed. Rescue the weak and needy; deliver them from the hand of the wicked.”
This Ministry is committed to equipping, enlisting, and empowering the people of Mount Pleasant Christian Church to defend vulnerable children domestically and internationally through foster care support, adoption support and global orphan care opportunities.
Are you a Foster Family?
Hope for the Journey Conference (Digital Pass)
Show Hope’s third annual Hope for the Journey Conference. Like previous Hope for the Journey Conferences, this year’s content will dive into the principles of Trust-Based Relational Intervention® (TBRI®) and connect this care model to the gospel of Jesus Christ that has guided the work of Show Hope for 20 years. Through practical, accessible teaching and insight coupled with personal perspectives, Show Hope believes you will find the resources and hope you need to continue to journey well as a foster family, adoptive family, OR a family that supports vulnerable children and families!
We are offering 30 digital passes for this conference. This digital pass will provide full streaming access and resources for the conference experience.
Viewing access ends June 30!
What is Care Portal? Care Portal is a tool created by Hands of Hope for Johnson and Marion County DCS workers to submit real-time needs for families serving vulnerable children in our communities. We’re looking to equip and train others to help be a part of this response team. If you are interested in learning more, please send us an email:
